Go me.

I have an OS I can do stuff with now. It's exciting.

I have my wireless card working (recognized, running, etc) I just need to get it configured correctly. Until now I've been doing a kind of nifty thing with a crossover cable and vash's connection. It's handy, but not the kind of thing I'd want to leave for extended periods of time.

I've been very busy, and this doesn't seem like it's going to stop any time soon. I'm going camping tomorrow, and kind of need to get up early ish so I have time to get stuff done before I leave. Like get some of the dishes out of the sink. I haven't been letting them pile up, but I also haven't entirely emptied the sink of dishes.

I made rather a lot of spaghetti tonight, and saucepot meatballs. The meatballs were delicious and I really should make that recipe more often. I have too many noodles now though. Such is life. Always too many noodles.

Edit: Scratch that, I think the wireless is even configured right now. However, I didn't check that until *after* I started emerging openoffice, so I felt it was unwise to disconnect the ethernet right at this moment and check to see if it's *actually* working.

woot

I have speakers. I have gentoo. I even have a window manager. I don't, apparently, have a mouse. We'll work on this.

Still working (obviously) on getting all my hardware to cooperate with gentoo. It's really quite fun. If I were actually stalled by any one thing for more than an hour or so it would probably not be quite as fun, but I'm not, so it is.

Quit it, you're making me late for work!

Just a few things

1) I love watching federer play

2) I would really like to see PotC2 some time this week. Who wants to come?

3) I bought speakers. CRAAAZY.

4) I promise I won't post like this more than about three times a year.

Ahoy

To all of you who made my birthday weekend rock: You're my favorite.

I ate a *lot* of sushi on saturday night. This might become a semi-weekly thing with sharon and some of her peoples. This is exciting, but I hope it doesn't make me fat. I can't grow at all between now and december, or I won't fit into the pretty bridesmaid's dress I bought.

I case I haven't mentioned it before (though I think I have) the chinese food outside the VU on campus is really tasty, and cheap. Good for when I forget that I forgot to pack lunch.

My first day of work upon returning from vacation hasn't managed to kill me yet... but it's tried. If you never see me again, make sure my laptop goes to a good home.
