Uh-oh.

Brian and I have a Very Important Relationship Issue that must be addressed. In other words, he found out that I haven't seen Hackers yet. :|

I saw someone give a lamp post the finger yesterday, very angrily, with both hands. And no, there wasn't anyone standing behind the lamp post... he was quite clearly directing his anger at the lamp post.

You don't get a title today, because I don't have enough imagination.

My favorite little Kenyan turns 8 next Thursday.

Eeek. Hackers and pizza.

Oh noez, teh spam

In my gmail inbox, no less. I find it odd because I looked in my spam folder and there were e-mails very similar to the ones that have ended up in my inbox (yes, plural, there have been three in the past two days).

I feel like abandoning the internet. I wish it didn't make things so darn convenient in almost every way.

blah blah blah!

If you want to see a video of my niece being absolutely adorable, click on yon title.

Today was pretty awesome in a lot of ways. I had my first day of work, which turned into an 8 hour day instead of 2 because I didn't have anything else planned for the day, and I thought it would be helpful for my boss to be able to spend an actual day training me, instead of trying to do it in 2 hour chunks. I have a feeling it was a good thing. It isn't hard work, but it requires concentration. Though, the first 4 hours I spent doing a bulk mailing... which most people hate, but I've always kind of enjoyed.

I'm getting slightly more social or something. I've been hanging out with people one on one more often. I kind of like this change.

Home is good, home is nice

Home is fun and full of spice...

I have many books, and a few new CD's that no one but me will be interested in (German folk music, anyone? Yeah, I thought not...) and life is good.

My dad seems to be recovering well from his surgery. I get to hang out with shayna this afternoon, and I need to call katina. I also got in touch with beth wilbur, who is now married with a kid and a terminal brain aneurism. Funny how much can happen when you lose touch with someone for two or three years.

I passed CS145 and ETEC111, both with a C-. That is cutting things a bit close, even for me. I've been thinking a lot about the coming quarter, and I have many grand plans for changing the way I do things. If I can actually come through on these ideas, everything should be golden.

It'll be sad coming home to an empty house for a month :(

Now that's what I call vacation.

Orcas was fantastic. There was play, relax, eat, and sleep.

Nathan and I were discussing the nature of cabins. You can do nothing but what you want to do, and no one cares. Even if you're doing something you normally wouldn't enjoy, it's like "Okay, I'm doing dishes. In a cabin."

Lots of things.

I finished finals Tuesday, as most of you already know (because I've been talking about it nonstop), and now I just wait for grades to come back. I already got the grades from my two classes that I was doing well in, and got a B- in both. It's kind of strange though, because I thought I was doing much better in one than the other, and they're taught by the same prof. *shrug* oh well.

I'm going to orcas island with rose and benson and lyz and nathan this weekend. That *was* my only plan for the weekend... but then the plan changed from going thursday to going saturday, and then my aunt called and asked if I wanted to stay at her place tonight and help her out with the new baby that suddenly landed in her lap, which I quite readily agreed to do.

So suddenly I'm taking off at 1:30 today (yay greyhound) and coming back friday night, then taking off saturday morning and coming back sunday, then probably taking off monday again for sequim. Very exciting spring break.

And when I'm in sequim, I will get to see people! Like katina! and shayna! Maybe I should make cookies again...

Anywho, if you need me this weekend, call me... computer access type things may be far and few between.

Oh! and I forgot to mention the things I saw yesterday when I went to do laundry. First thing was a cute little old man cleaning his roof.... in a top hat. It reminded me of mary poppins, and I was amused. Second thing was the blood center van that comes to western to steal blood, but then always rejects mine. I said hi to the nice people, but didn't get to try again, because they were done for the day.

Sorry for the über long post. I just had a lot of news. :)

Life is funny.

I have a big project due at 3, and a final at 3:30 that I'm not quite prepared for.

So this morning I'm all stressing out and worried, and was talking to my sister for a little bit... this is aimee, the one I lived with for most of my time in LA. She said she'd been talking to their next door neighbor, a guy around 40 or 50 that I did a few painting jobs with, and he said he would become a christian if she could get one of her sisters to marry me. He also said the only problem was that the one he liked best was me, and I was too young for him.

I was quite amused, and it kind of made my morning less suck.

New Music

Added more weird music to my weird music... ness. If you like trance electronic, let me know. It's awesome study music, and really kind of fun to listen to.

*** Warning: Emo Moment Follows ***

A lot of times when I'm feeling really terrible, a song will start playing that just absolutely turns my mood around 180 degrees. It happened today on the walk from my apartment to the engineering building. I really like music. A lot. There are very few other things that can have an instantaneous effect on me like that. I think I can count them on four fingers. I can currently count them on three actually, but I figure there's probably something I'm forgetting, so I'll leave the fourth finger open just in case.

*** Warning: I drank all my snapple ***

=.=

I missed the teacher evaluations for moskowitz... but I think this is a good thing, because my handwriting is pretty recognizable, and he seems like the kind of guy who would take it out of me next quarter. I think I have 3, maybe 4 more classes that I have to take with him before I'm done. He really makes me angry.

I'm tired. One week left.

SWEEET VIIIOOLEEEETS

there once was a farmer who took a young miss in back of the barn where he gave her a lecture on horses and chickens and eggs and told her that she had such beautiful manners that suited a girl of her charms, a girl that he wanted to take in his washing and ironing and then, if she did, they could get married and raise lots of SWEEEET VIIIIOLLEEETS.

I cannot go to school today. It might be instimatic flu.

Wonder of Wonders

I've actually been getting stuff done today. Before the night it's due.

It felt like spring today. Yet I was still quite cold. Stupid windchill factor.

Someone has tea in here, and it's both reminding me of my mother (because it's the kind she always likes to drink) and making me hungry. Funny how a scent can instantly evoke so many feelings.

*I* can post... right?

I'm trying to assist my younger sibling in the glorious endeavor of creating a weblog. I am failing. :_

AAAAH, I'm scared.

Let me 'splain. No, there is too much. I will sum up.

When I was working full time, I never had a problem getting up early. I worked at 9, and it took me a good 45 minutes to an hour to get to work without a car. This isn't god-awful early, but it's earlier than I've been able to get up for classes last quarter and this quarter. However, it was work, and coming in late (or not at all) for work is Not An Option.

So what I have done is this - I have writted my work schedule for next quarter (work-study in the financial aid office) so that I start at 8 am monday through thursday. I will work 2 hours and then go directly to class. Since it's simply not an option for me to miss work, I will get up, and since I'm already up, I will go to class. It's Brilliant! And scary >_<

Fiddling again...

Except this time I need input. Funky blue thinger? or other funky blue thinger?

Or I could do both, and change the color of one :P If you vote for that, please tell me what color I should make it.

Or I could ditch them both, and you just won't get a blue one.

Or I can edit them and make them look better. Is the blue too bright?

Don't worry... some day I will get bored with doing the same thing over and over again and only changing the colors. Maybe.

Help nikkie with her Project please!

The website looks good, and works well. I'm constantly amazed at how awesome other people are at doing nifty things.

I vow to someday become a guru! In... something.

My roommate is leaving me for a month :( Hopefully I can avoid burning the place down in her absence. April will be an interesting time.

And so another month begins.

I got a 96 on my digital electronics test. Which, coupled with the 100 I got on the first test, means I could actually get a decent grade there if I do well on the final. I haven't been doing as well on the labs though.

I also have decent to okay test grades in my other electronics class, so I'd say that one's out of the danger zone too. The final there is a lab, so I'm not sure what to expect. I'll know more about it tomorrow.

Which leaves Ada and Pro/E. I just aced the lecture quiz for Pro/E, but I don't think it's worth much. Pro/E is dependent on projects, and Ada is dependent on programs and the final. Which means all work outside of class. I intend to bury myself in it until the end of the quarter.

I'm looking forward to having only 13 credits next quarter.

Edit: My friend Mary Jane (from Chile) got married yesterday and is coming up to bellingham sometime in the very near future with her new husband. I haven't seen either of them in about three years, and they're coming to visit me! yay!
